Scientific Lead in Radiotherapy Physics Treatment Planning
Band 8b
Regional Medical Physics Service

Applications are invited for the post of Lead Clinical Scientist for Treatment Planning & Mould Room within the Radiotherapy Physics Service of the Regional Medical Physics Service. The Radiotherapy Service is currently wholly located within the Cancer Centre in the Belfast City Hospital campus and close to Belfast City Centre. The Centre is equipped with 8 linear accelerators, virtual and conventional simulation, CT and MR Scanners and brachytherapy treatment facilities and has access to PET-CT Scanning. The catchment population is approximately 1.7M and the Centre delivers around 4,000 courses of treatment annually.

The successful applicant will provide scientific leadership within the Treatment Planning & Mould Room Group and will build on the progress made to date in enhancing Radiotherapy Services for Northern Ireland and ensure continuing development and assimilation of the new technologies available.

Whilst it is preferred to appoint this post at 8B level, candidates with less experience will be considered for appointment at 8A level.
