A highly experienced research scientist is required to join the Devices for Dignity NIHR Healthcare Technology Co-operative. Devices for Dignity (D4D) focuses on the identification of unmet patient needs and the design, development and evaluation of medical devices to address these needs. Operating nationally, D4D brings together the 'right project team' of expert clinicians, academics, patients, carers and industry to deliver solutions to address the specific needs identified.
The Principal Research Scientist will source and deliver the information required to ensure that D4D selects projects that will have high impact on patient's quality of life and will contribute to and/or lead the preparation of grant submissions for the D4D consortium within and across the themes.
You should have a good honours degree in Science or Engineering, and extensive postgraduate experience in a relevant specialism having in-depth knowledge of the research and development process. You must possess highly developed written and oral communication and interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work well in a multidisciplinary environment.
