Medical Membership (MedMIPEM)

Medical Membership is open to those who have achieved initial membership of a Medical Royal College, whether designated Member or Fellow, and who have satisfied Council that they are working with applications of physics or engineering applied to medicine. Medical Members may use the designatory letters MedMIPEM.

Guidelines for Applicants

Medical Membership is intended to provide a category of membership for medical practitioners who are working with applications of physics and engineering applied to medicine but who, by definition, are working as medical practitioners rather than as clinical scientists or engineers.

Medical Members take no part in the governance of the Institute, although they are encouraged to take part in its activities and, in particular, to participate in its scientific meetings and publications programmes and contribute to special interest groups.
