Urodynamics is a broad term describing clinical procedures to investigate the function of the Lower Urinary Tract in both males and females. It is a relatively common investigation performed in a number of hospitals throughout the United Kingdom with some centres providing more specialised diagnostic examinations involving X-ray imaging.
Medical Physics and engineering has a long standing involvement, within the NHS, in supporting the delivery of Urodynamics services although the levels of assistance provided in each hospital vary considerably depending on local pressures, staffing and protocols.
This 1st Urodynamics measurement meeting is designed to provide an opportunity for networking between Medical Physics and engineering staff who have a key role in providing local Urodynamics services, whilst also learning about new technologies and areas of innovation.
