Universities
IPEM has a steadily growing community of Academic Ambassadors based in universities. The Ambassadors form a vital link between undergraduates, academics and IPEM as a professional body.
The Ambassadors also act in the following roles:
- Provide a forum for meeting and exchanging results, experience, ideas and problems with other researchers from all disciplines active in this field
- Provide a forum for meeting interested parties from industry and health-care, and identify problems and issues for future research and development
- Advise and act as a cohesive community in discussions with funding bodies, the government and health-care providers
- Support academic training at undergraduate and postgraduate level, and in continuous professional development
- Support publicity and recruitment into the field
- Involvement in accreditation of undergraduate and post graduate courses in the relevant fields
- Link between technology and medicine for undergraduate, postgraduate and research students
