The IPEM Training Centre Accreditation Sub-Panel accredits centres who want to enter candidates for the IPEM Diploma. The majority of candidates for the IPEM Diploma are Part I Trainees, but other candidates sometimes apply to take the diploma.
To gain accreditation for IPEM Diploma training, training centres or consortia must be able to offer training in at least 6 major subject areas. In each major subject area there must be a training supervisor who is MIPEM or equivalent and there must be at least two other clinical scientists working in the major subject area.
Training centres must demonstrate that there is good management of training, there is commitment to training and an environment in which scientific work and research and development takes place.
