IPEM Rules
The governance of the Institute is undertaken through Rules approved by the members in general meeting or by ballot, supported by policies and procedures approved by Council. The Institute is constituted as a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee, registered in England and Wales (number 3080332), which is also registered as a charity in England and Wales (number 1047999). Registration as a charity in Scotland (and Northern Ireland) is not generally necessary because the Institute's operations in these jurisdictions are de minimis and do not fall within the registration criteria.
As constituted, the Institute has a Memorandum and Articles of Association as required by company law, which have been approved by Companies House and the Charity Commission. These are reproduced below as PDF files together with a PDF copy of the current rules.
