Workforce Panel

Clin Tech One Woman

The Workforce Panel was established to advise on current workforce issues in Medical Physics and Clinical Engineering. The scope of the Workforce Panel's activity covers the clinical, academic, and industry workforce.

The panel works jointly with the Workforce Intelligence Unit on workforce statements and reports, providing feedback and input on conclusions. Together, the Workforce Panel and the Workforce Intelligence Unit aim to develop strategies to tackle workforce issues affecting all the devolved nations, and provide opportunities for IPEM to influence on policy.

Current workstreams:

  1. Creation of statements highlighting key workforce issues in each devolved nation
  2. Identification of key issues in the Clinical Engineering workforce

Future planned workstreams will focus on routes to registration (including apprenticeships), and achieving skill mixes within the workforce.
