Third European Workshop on Monte Carlo Treatment Planning of the European Workgroup on MCTP
15th - 18th May 2012
Sevilla, Spain
This meeting is expected to reinforce the original idea of establishing a working network for discussion and exchange of scientific knowledge focused on the application of Monte Carlo method to radiotherapy practice. The workshop will offer scientists the opportunity to exchange information, and to generate international collaborations.

NPL/IPEM Small Fields Dosimetry Training Course

National Physical Laboratory, Teddington
NPL is holding a one day course on the radiation dosimetry of small photon fields. The course will consist of a number of lectures given by NPL and guest experts in this area, including several of the authors of IPEM Report 103. Among the topics to be covered are: absolute, reference and relative dose measurement; treatment planning system modelling; and dosimetric errors. Throughout the day, it will be possible to discuss questions raised by this challenging topic with the course speakers and with NPL staff. The day will end with a lecture on recent developments in the area followed by an open discussion.

European Workshop on Optimisation of Radiation Protection in Medicine
7th - 9th June 2012

The first EMAN workshop on the optimisation of radiation protection for occupational and patient exposures in the medical field will be held in Vienna (Austria) from 7-9 June 2012. Its aims are to draw and disseminate conclusions and recommendations from the EMAN project and to elaborate and discuss further actions to be made by the network. Download flyer.

Monte Carlo Neutron Electron and Gamma Radiation Transport Codes Meeting 2012

MCNEG is the forum for UK users of Monte Carlo radiation transport codes. The meeting provides delegates with the opportunity to present and discuss their recent applications and developments of Monte Carlo techniques in the areas of radiotherapy, radiation protection, radioactivity, the nuclear and other industries. An informal atmosphere is encouraged, with the intention of optimizing feedback and promoting extensive discussions. The 2012 meeting is organised by Velindre NHS Trust.

CARS 2012 - Computer Assisted Radiology and Surgery

Symposium Mammographicum

International Cancer Imaging Society Meeting and 12th Annual Teaching Course

International Symposium on International Conference on Radiation Protection in Medicine - Setting the Scene for the Next Decade
