Organised by IPEM's Magnetic Resonance Special Interest Group
The exceptional diagnostic utility of MRI within the clinical domain is well appreciated. This is true for neonatal and paediatric imaging, although specialist techniques and strategies are required to successfully image these patient groups. Fetal MRI has long been investigated, but recently is becoming more commonplace within the clinical setting as the complementary nature of MRI to US is realised amongst clinicians. Because of the increase in fetal and paediatric clinical cases there has been a rapid increase in the number of clinical cases which require specialist expertise within radiology departments.
This conference will aim to explore the techniques and strategies employed to successfully scan these populations of patients and how these techniques have benefited the clinical decision making process. It will bring together specialists from all relevant areas, including clinicians, radiologists, physiologists, radiographers and physicists, providing opportunities to discuss ideas and for networking between the various disciplinesTarget audienceMR Physicists working in the healthcare sector and in researchMR RadiographersRadiologistsCliniciansAbstractsAbstract submission is now closed.
