Organised by IPEM's Academic Special Interest Group
Much anticipated after years of development and speculation, MRI guided radiotherapy delivery is due to become a reality. However, many challenges and opportunities still exist for research and development, from basic scientific concepts to clinical trials. This meeting will be relevant to all with an interest in MRI, Clinical Oncology or Radiotherapy Physics. We aim to bring together academic and clinical scientists, along with clinical oncologists, radiologists and radiographers, and relevant industrial partners to explore the current reality and future potential of MRI guided radiotherapy systems. This will be a unique educational and networking opportunity for scientists and clinicians with an interest in MRI guided radiotherapy research and clinical implementation.
Learning Outcomes1. Current status of MRI-guided radiotherapy systems. Scientific and clinical research opportunities. 2. Future integration and research opportunities of MRI guided radiotherapy systems within the UK Target Audience1. Academic MRI and radiotherapy scientists (from within IPEM and BC-ISMRM), MRI-Linac/Cobalt Developers and Industrial Partners 2. IPEM members who are Clinical Scientists (MRI and Radiotherapy Physicists)
